The new cam appears to be PTZ (Pan/Tilt/Zoom) which I'd imagine helps the management keep a close eye on the work as it progresses. The old Assembly Bay cam feed is still on as well.

The "link" is called a Shackle. Is there an overhead crane in the assembly bay? Probably used for moving or stacking these pieces.

I believe the link (shackle) is only used for lifting the component to move it around. They are busy loading the chain inside of these 10 YUOs.
