What are you doing man...trying to work and support a family and run a ministry at the same time or something! Haven't seen a game yet?.....You mean you are going to let all that Lords work stuff keep you from watching baseball..you got to be kidding me...that stuff can wait...you know there isnt anyone listening to all that junk anyway...your just waste your time and money....Man, a good ball game with the boys and lots of cold beer...come on man..get with it!...live a little!....Life is short...do some of that Jesus stuff in the winter time...just enough to keep him off your back... and get out and enjoy yourself during the warm months of the year...as a matter of fact...just can all that Jesus stuff anyway....you know people thinks there is something wrong with you....Their talking behind your back you know....Dont you love your family...dont you want to spend more time with them....come on man..live it up...look at all the things you could be doing if you would just put that Jesus stuff on the back burner....fishing...baseball...more time to relax....You work hard all week man....a few beers in the evening, a nice cold one...now thats living...and remember how much you use to enjoy the pot...that reefer...remember how you use to be able to kick back and not worry about a care in the world....look at all the problems in the world...look at all the things that you face everyday...a couple beers and a few hits on a joint and that foot would feel a little better...sure it would....go ahead...get you a six pack..you only got to drink one or two...grab ya a nickle bag while your out...that should last you a couple weeks....you know, just a hit now and then to take the edge off....nobody will know......And while were on the subject..this ministry thing is bad enough...but whats all this church stuff about...why you going to Church....I say dont just ditch that ministry thing, but get over all that church attendance junk....you got your own problems and need without going and listening to a bunch of goody two shoes whine and complain about everything under the sun....If their God is so good...why they got so many problems....dont sound like no loving God to me...come on man...think about what your doing here...look around...Theres not really anyone that really believes in all that stuff...look at the shape the world is in...its dog eat dog....do unto others before they do unto you...all them people that are pretending to be that other guys people, they cant agree on nothing...always arguing about what right and whats wrong....whats good and whats bad.....they are only looking out for themselves....they dont have any love...all they got is pride and greed....they are laughing at you man.....Haven't seen a game yet!.......Haven't seen a game yet....Haven't seen a game yet!!!......are you kidding me?....what are you thinking....tell your family were going for a little ride...we wont be gone long....ill have you back in no time....come on man...who wears the pants around here...lets have a little fun for once....forget that other guy...that one that thinks hes perfect...what a joke that is...come on man...you know you want to go...ill even drive...we can take my car.......Haven't seen a game yet...you freak me out man!
So is everyone sitting there scratching your heads...I would guess that some of you are but others of you are right on....The temptations of satan when we are walking in the Light!....As believers we all have our problems in life and our needs...maybe pain of some sort be it physical or emotional or maybe even mental in nature......we all endure trials and tribulations and have sadness or maybe lonely at times....and we all know what it is to have visits from satan and the temptations he can dangle in front of us and the reasoning he can offer to us to help us fall from grace....To sin!
Now I would never sit here and say that one persons trials and temptations or maybe discouragements are any more or greater than any one elses...But as believers we know that sometimes depending upon our walk with Jesus...satan can spend a little more time on one person than others in his attempt to watch them fall..to maybe turn their back on Jesus...even just a little bit of back turning is a joy to satan and a lot of back turning to Jesus is a victory to satan....thats what he lives for...to destroy us in any way he can......
So once again I come to y'all and offer a short story....yes I hear you laugh..I said short story.....Just for the heck of it lets think on Greg...excel for just a minute..he can be my example tonight.....48 years of age....a wife and two kids...no health care...a past of drug and alcohol abuse...working...attending church...doing things with the family....and living with his own health issues....Now thats maybe not a lot different than what some other folks might be going through...maybe not as much...maybe you have more on your plate...but ill have to get to you another day...I dont mean that in a smart kind of way but yes there is more to this story....
Our Lord and Savior...according to excel, was after Greg for quite some time to take up his cross and follow him...excel was a believer but just like all or most of us...he hesitated or looked the other way to some degree because ..Im guessing...just like all of us he had a lot on his plate..he had doubts..i would....You just read some, but im sure not all of what he has on his plate a moment ago....But finally one day...excel announced to this board that he was going to start a ministry....A Lords Ministry...and he got all of us involved to come up with ideals and a name and all sorts of stuff...Yes...us ...his I-hub family....we were all...or some or most of us...P.M messaging back and forth and all were excited to be involved in this new undertaking of excels to serve our Lord...Now excel was already serving our Lord as a born-again believer...but he had finally decided to truly take up his cross and do what God had been after him to do...
Now my good folks....excel knew that this wasnt going to be easy....With a wife and raising a family...working to support that family....you folks know...Just all that goes with what we all do day to day...how busy and full our days already are..but there was some and is some health issues to throw into that pot and stir around....Now being a person of past addictions myself..i know how satan can play on the mind..of the world...so that has to be thrown into the mix as well....I know that excel knew that satan was going to come after him with everything that he had....satan saying...yeah go ahead boy, start your ministry and try and worship your God...i will not let you prosper in your undertaking!...excel knew it wasnt going to be easy...but he went ahead and picked up his cross and look at it all....
Have you been to the web site lately...have you clicked on that donation button and gave a little money to OUR GOD!...Have you had time every once and awhile and got on your knees and prayed for our I-hub brother and for "At The Gate Ministries".......I want you folks to think on something...Greg didnt just wake up one morning and say...I think ill start a ministry...he wristled with this for some time...This was and is a calling from our God....so Yes..we know that "At the Gate Ministries" will be a success....But you know what...with our contributions...our prayers...our encouragement...With all that Greg has on his plate in his daily life...We as born-again believers...brothers and sisters in Christ...we can make things a whole lot easier on this man and friend of ours to help win lost souls to Christ...I dont say all these things to get you to feel bad for anyone...to feel sorry for anyone...This is a Jesus thing...excel is a man...a follower of Jesus...Its just when i feel the Spirit moving me....well it moves me...
Now I know some of you already pray and give to "At The Gate"...and I know that excel and God thank you and love you for it....I love you and thank you for it....But to anyone that hasnt made that commitment yet...please pray and talk it over with our Lord...and for those that already do these things...Tell a family member or a friend...5 or 10 dollars or more isnt a lot...but when many give to our Lord....great things Happen...and i believe that God has great things in store for his kingdom through Greg and "At The Gate ministries"!
