Patterson-UTI Energy Reports Financial Results for Three and Nine Months Ended September 30, 2010

HOUSTON, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- PATTERSON-UTI ENERGY, INC. (Nasdaq: PTEN) today reported financial results for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2010. The Company reported net income of $29.4 million, or $0.19 per share, for the third quarter of 2010, compared to a net loss of $18.6 million, or a loss of $0.12 per share, for the quarter ended September 30, 2009. Revenues for the third quarter of 2010 were $379 million, compared to $160 million for the third quarter of 2009.
