That sounds very strange, when I was working on superconductors for motors, the efficiency figures that EPRI gave me was for very large motors around 95% and for smaller one 80%, thus 20% less power surely sounds as if they have found a way to increase efficiency above 1. (EPRI, Electric Power Research Institute in Palo Alto, I used to be their consultant in matters "superconducting" <g>).
