I thought this was mentioned. It's definitely a REEL possibility.
This is another industry launch-type event that will help...and perhaps another reason why we wait.

Maybe the game plan MC has come up with(if in fact he even has completed this DD)entails:

1. Do nothing to promote PPV and the subscription service until there is more stream overs to the TV...don't even concern ourselves with the laptop viewer, The Soyo rep on the CC said this was the reason they chose to go with this promotion.

2.Concentrate on JVs and Co Promotions

That would have to be up to Gridnetworks to develop. I brought up this about a year and a half ago as a question when the Gridnetworks forum was still up. They basically said it might be possible to do but that there would have to be some type of demand for it. But I guess from what people have said on the board here they've been focusing on a set top player and I believe a Mac player.

Have you viewed reeltime selections with the ps3? Has anyone viewed reeltime selections with the ps3?

It would be nice to hear from someone who has actually tried it. I can't access any ps3 manuals online at work here, but I did just find a poorly scanned quick refrence guide (pdf) and there is no indication reeltime selections will play through the ps3 (the device doesn't appear to have any video inputs, just outputs, so it won't work as a 'cheap' passthrough device).

I suppose one could purchase one, as well as the optional usb keyboard accessory, perform an alternate operating system install (which will remove all gaming functionality-duh), then hook up an external usb hard drive to provide for the storage required by the GridPlayer... but that doesn't sound like something the connectivity-challenged is going to try, does it?
