CorpStrat, are you 12? You think I am short? Those echos in your head... treat them as a warning sign.

Dewophile (or somebody else) can you please help me understand why in the UF PhII trial(see slide 10) it appears that the 12.5mg dose improved hemoglobin levels the best (better than the 25mg dose) yet the p-value is significantly worse for the 12.5mg vs. placebo than it is for the 25 mg vs. placebo???

Also, I see nothing in these results to give a hint as to why they chose to use a 50mg dose in the PhIII anemia trial? They get their best increase in Hgb from a 12.5mg dose in PhII and then they drop that dose from the Phase III?

Why run the risk of a larger dose when the only evidence they have shows the lowest dose was the most effective? This particularly so given that the 50mg dose in the Endo trial was the one that had the episodes of significant post-treatment bleeding. Something is not adding up.
