being born with an IQ of 15 does not denote personhood to me.
That gets to at least part of the crux of the matter. The blunt fact as you know as well as anyone posting on this thread is that premature babies are at very high risk for often disabling defects. They are not fully enough developed, even if they can survive due to the "miracles" of modern medicine. Miscarriages, still births and death of the "runt" of various litters occur frequently among all living things.
