tinman,

re: but still probably pop off 2/3 box's of rifle ammo a month so I should. Especially since I like playing around with not so common calibers. 25/06, 6MM and the like. Like to play around at longer ranges. 4/500 yard kind of stuff.

Based on what you say, if I ever heard of someone who would really enjoy reloading, it is you.

You can tailor your load and projectile to exactly match the kind of shooting you set out to do ... far more latitude than you could ever find in factory loads. And you can save money at the same time.

I highly recommend you give reloading a try. If you know someone who reloads, convince them to let you learn to reload on their equipment (before you spring for your own). That's what I did. I sincerely believe you would embrace reloading!

Hi Tinman... I don't hunt either, just a personal choice, I know many a hunter, and I've always been told the closer the better.

I like long range shooting though, I'm slowly getting into it, I'm thinking of getting either a .243 or .270 rifle for such, Our friend trkyhntr is a long range shooter and he hand loads as well, you can find him on the GUNS board and the Outdr board.

Nice yakking at ya.
