you do realize any shares that hit the float are not new ones... right? they were already counted in the OS. this means they don't affect the EPS.

the word "accretive" describes shares used in acquisitions that add value to the company. in other words, the affect on the EPS from shares issued (negative) is outweighed by the revenues gained in the deal (positive).

You are apparently just missing some ability in comprehension!..You should not mix one statement with another!

If one is selling shares bc they prefer to cash out..but the o/s is not changing..there is not dilution but redistribution of the shares into other hands...if the buying pressure is not there to meet the current selling , then the pps will go down..but again it is NOT dilution!

Shares handed out for accretive assets..where the over all value of the Company has increased through tangible assests or through intangible i.e....work effort effectuated by those that brought about the accretive value..then again...Not dilutive!

Dilution and market forces that affect the pps negatively..are not always that closely linked!

That is one reason why traders will sell the peaks and buy the valley...just part of the Game!

What goes Up too fast usually comes back down the same way!...but the over all trend line from late 2006 till present day is a positive slope!...CCI is in th oversold area..buyers are watching!
