IMX would appear to have a clearly superior technology over GE's IonTrack product. This does not mean that GE will incorporate the QS into their new InVision subsidiary but it certainly can't be ruled out. From press accounts of the GE/INVN buyout, it appears that GE intends to allow INVN to operate rather independently, which could mean a relatively fair evaluation between the competing technologies.
I can't speak to the cash situation as I simply don't know what additional resources may be available to them. I suspect you are underestimating the significance of what appears to be IMX's main strength - superior management.
