brainlessone, ""that can and do go wrong"" Ahhh, Grasshopper.
Things go wrong everywhere. It may well be that the PLA are A$%$#holes. It may also be that no matter how much one tries for good there are always the John Waynes to bring them down.

Mr. Bush, Don't Stop with the Fetus
March 25, 2004

{Disclaimer: Not for those who favor Bush's FCC in the Stern matter. THIS MEANS YOU, HAP!}

Now that the Senate has fallen in behind conservative Christians and given legal protection to an unborn fetus -- at any stage of development -- we have a proposal of our own to further extend and enshrine the sanctity of life. Call it the protection of pre-life.

http://www.thousandreasons.org/opinion/032504.html

Call it what you like, but if we are going to raise a two-celled, fertilized egg to the level of personhood, then we simply cannot tolerate the daily assault on all those eggs and sperm that but for lack of opportunity would become human.

We will need another law to lower the legal age of marriage to at least twelve. To be safe, we should make it puberty; forget chronological age. We can't waste an egg. It could be a life, that little darling. Imagine. Just imagine. We must have a law.

We need more women, because the math favors men -- hundreds of millions to one -- and we should not, must not, allow any to die, but this will have to be worked out in conference, since we have no idea how you get more women.

Anyway, this is pre-life, not some rock. These beautiful little things must be saved.

And when we have our laws? Oh, then life will be grand. When it is illegal, life will be grand.

----

Imagine, in it's infinate wisdom, our government has given "personhood" status to a 2 celled fertilized ovum, and this little piece of legislation has absolutely nothing to do with Laci and Conor. It has everything to do with Roe and Wade. Rick Santorum must be pleased.
