That is not true. The date of record has passed several days ago.How do you explain what the date of record means. If what you say is true, it is meaningless and I do not think that is the case. Feb 1 was the date that you had to be on record as a shareholder to receive the dividend.

I agree with you; I believe this divident is a "Special" Dividend in which you must hold to Payment date in order to receive the divis. Here is the rules for special dividend.

"The earliest you can sell your stock and still be entitled to the Special or Significant Dividend is one day after the Payment Date, or the date the stock begins trading on an ex-distribution basis.
