That is an interesting story. Cop 1 has existed from at least 1971 and by 1973 was already showing activity in EAE. The composition of matter patent if there ever was one should have expired by now. Anyone know when the composition of matter patent expire/d/s?
No doubt TEVA has built an estate around Cop 1 - they certainly know all the tricks for overturning patents. It would be quite an irony if TEVA precedents were used to over-turn Copaxone's patent estate. :-) What goes around ...
