If the Israeli intelligence community is long regarded as one of the world’s best then did they hold back the knowledge of the 9/11 attack on purpose contributing willfully to the wrongful deaths of 3,000 Americans so that we might invade Iraq for them?
Their own document, A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm, called for the elimination of the Saddam Hussein regime in Baghdad, as a first step towards overthrowing or destabilizing the governments of Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Iran.
Immediately after the attack on the WTC without any knowledge of who was responsible Iraq was accused only later did we did decide to invade Afghanistan as a prelude to the ouster of Saddam.
Taking into consideration the 80-page report written by Parliamentary investigators, A Clean Break, the Carl Cameron report, and the confirmation of Alex Diamandis Israel by its own behavior and words has committed a most heinous crime against the United States resulting in the deaths of many Americans for their own end. -Am

A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm
co-authored by Perle
On July 8, 1996, Richard Perle, now the Chairman of the Defense Policy Board, an advisory group that reports to Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz, presented a written document to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, spelling out a new Israeli foreign policy, calling for a repudiation of the Oslo Accords and the underlying concept of "land for peace"; for the permanent annexation of the entire West Bank and Gaza Strip; and for the elimination of the Saddam Hussein regime in Baghdad, as a first step towards overthrowing or destabilizing the governments of Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Iran. http://www.yaledivestmentnews.org/worlddomination.html
Alex Diamandis, vice president of sales and marketing, confirmed that workers in Odigo's research and development and international sales office in Israel received a warning from another Odigo user approximately two hours prior to the first attack. http://www.propagandamatrix.com/instant_messages_to_israel_warned_of_attack
In a four-part series on Fox News by Carl Cameron, Carl, a top-notch investigative reporter, made the following charge:
"There is no indication that the Israelis were involved in the 9-11 attacks, but investigators suspect that they Israelis may have gathered intelligence about the attacks in advance, and not shared it. A highly placed investigator said there are – quote – 'tie-ins.' But when asked for details, he flatly refused to describe them, saying, – quote – 'evidence linking these Israelis to 9-11 is classified.'" – [December 11, 2001].
Cameron based his series on the Israeli connection to 9/11, in part, on a leaked report compiled by the Drug Enforcement Agency's internal security service, documenting an extensive spy operation in the U.S. Salon, the internet magazine, took up the story in a fascinating piece by Christopher Ketcham, and the German magazine Die Zeit, co-edited by the distinguished scholar Josef Joffe, recently reported:
"Apparently the [Israeli] agents were not interested in military or industrial facilities, but were shadowing a number of suspects, who were later involved in the terrorist attacks against the US."
Die Zeit cites a report of the French intelligence agency:
"According to the FBI, Arab terrorists and suspected terror cells lived in Phoenix, Arizona, as well as in Miami and Hollywood, Florida from December 2000 to April 2001 in direct proximity to the Israeli spy cells. According to the report, the Mossad agents were interested in the leader of the terrorists, Mohammed Atta and his key accomplice, Marwan al-Shehi. Both lived in Hamburg before they settled in Hollywood, Florida in order to plan the attacks. A Mossad team was also operating in the same town."
The leader, Hanan Serfati, had rented several dwellings' that were "Next Door to Mohammed Atta," as the title of the article by Oliver Schrom put it. 'Everything indicates that the terrorists were constantly observed by the Israelis.' Schrom writes:
'The chief Israeli agent was staying right near the post office where the terrorists had a mailbox. The Mossad also had its sights on Atta's accomplice Khalid al-Midhar, with whom the CIA was also familiar, but allowed to run free.'"
The Haaretz daily said the 80-page report--set to be released next week--had criticized all Israeli intelligence branches for providing erroneous assessments of Iraq's non-conventional weapons.
Last December, a former Israeli intelligence officer charged that Israel produced a flawed picture of Iraqi weapons capabilities and substantially contributed to mistakes made in U.S. and British prewar assessments on Iraq.
The comments of reserve Brig. Gen. Shlomo Brom represented an unusual criticism of the Israeli intelligence community, long regarded as one of the world's best. Prior to his retirement in 1998, Brom served in Israeli military intelligence for 25 years, and acted as the deputy chief of planning for the Israeli army.
US intelligence fears Iran duped hawks into Iraq war

US intelligence fears Iran duped hawks into Iraq war
Julian Borger in Washington Tuesday May 25, 2004 The Guardian
An urgent investigation has been launched in Washington into whether Iran played a role in manipulating the US into the Iraq war by passing on bogus intelligence through Ahmad Chalabi's Iraqi National Congress, it emerged yesterday. Some intelligence officials now believe that Iran used the hawks in the Pentagon and the White House to get rid of a hostile neighbour, and pave the way for a Shia-ruled Iraq.
According to a US intelligence official, the CIA has hard evidence that Mr Chalabi and his intelligence chief, Aras Karim Habib, passed US secrets to Tehran, and that Mr Habib has been a paid Iranian agent for several years, involved in passing intelligence in both directions.
The CIA has asked the FBI to investigate Mr Chalabi's contacts in the Pentagon to discover how the INC acquired sensitive information that ended up in Iranian hands.
The implications are far-reaching. Mr Chalabi and Mr Habib were the channels for much of the intelligence on Iraqi weapons on which Washington built its case for war.
"It's pretty clear that Iranians had us for breakfast, lunch and dinner," said an intelligence source in Washington yesterday. "Iranian intelligence has been manipulating the US for several years through Chalabi."
Larry Johnson, a former senior counter-terrorist official at the state department, said: "When the story ultimately comes out we'll see that Iran has run one of the most masterful intelligence operations in history. They persuaded the US and Britain to dispose of its greatest enemy."
Mr Chalabi has vehemently rejected the allegations as "a lie, a fib and silly". He accused the CIA director, George Tenet, of a smear campaign against himself and Mr Habib.
However, it is clear that the CIA - at loggerheads with Mr Chalabi for more than eight years - believes it has caught him red-handed, and is sticking to its allegations.
"The suggestion that Chalabi is a victim of a smear campaign is outrageous," a US intelligence official said. "It's utter nonsense. He passed very sensitive and classified information to the Iranians. We have rock solid information that he did that."
"As for Aras Karim [Habib] being a paid agent for Iranian intelligence, we have very good reason to believe that is the case," added the intelligence official, who did not want to be named. He said it was unclear how long this INC-Iranian collaboration had been going on, but pointed out that Mr Chalabi had had overt links with Tehran "for a long period of time".
An intelligence source in Washington said the CIA confirmed its long-held suspicions when it discovered that a piece of information from an electronic communications intercept by the National Security Agency had ended up in Iranian hands. The information was so sensitive that its circulation had been restricted to a handful of officials.
"This was 'sensitive compartmented information' - SCI - and it was tracked right back to the Iranians through Aras Habib," the intelligence source said.
Mr Habib, a Shia Kurd who is being sought by Iraqi police since a raid on INC headquarters last week, has been Mr Chalabi's righthand man for more than a decade. He ran a Pentagon-funded intelligence collection programme in the run-up to the invasion and put US officials in touch with Iraqi defectors who made claims about Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction.
Those claims helped make the case for war but have since proved groundless, and US intelligence agencies are now scrambling to determine whether false information was passed to the US with Iranian connivance.
INC representatives in Washington did not return calls seeking comment.
But Laurie Mylroie, a US Iraq analyst and one of the INC's most vocal backers in Washington, dismissed the allegations as the product of a grudge among CIA and state department officials driven by a pro-Sunni, anti-Shia bias.
She said that after the CIA raised questions about Mr Habib's Iranian links, the Pentagon's Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) conducted a lie-detector test on him in 2002, which he passed with "flying colours".
The DIA is also reported to have launched its own inquiry into the INC-Iran link.
An intelligence source in Washington said the FBI investigation into the affair would begin with Mr Chalabi's "handlers" in the Pentagon, who include William Luti, the former head of the office of special plans, and his immediate superior, Douglas Feith, the under secretary of defence for policy.
There is no evidence that they were the source of the leaks. Other INC supporters at the Pentagon may have given away classified information in an attempt to give Mr Chalabi an advantage in the struggle for power surrounding the transfer of sovereignty to an Iraqi government on June 30.
The CIA allegations bring to a head a dispute between the CIA and the Pentagon officials instrumental in promoting Mr Chalabi and his intelligence in the run-up to the war. By calling for an FBI counter-intelligence investigation, the CIA is, in effect, threatening to disgrace senior neo-conservatives in the Pentagon.
"This is people who opposed the war with long knives drawn for people who supported the war," Ms Mylroie said.

Iran To Be Nuclear Capable In Three Years: Israel Spy Chief
It would behoove Zeevi to come out with some hard evidence given that prior to the American-led invasion of Iraq in March 2003, the Israeli services reported Iraq had large amounts of weapons of mass destruction, including chemical and biological agents. Parliamentary investigators have determined that Israel's intelligence services delivered an erroneous assessment of pre-war Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. #msg-2682946
Referring to a recent report in the Washington Post citing a US Central Intelligence Agency assessment that Iran would not be capable of producing a nuclear weapon for a decade, Zeevi said he feared the report might be a deliberate leak intended to provide cover for inaction on Iran while the administration remained preoccupied by Iraq.
Nice choice, if we leave Iraq we go on to Iran.

Jerusalem (AFP) Aug 16, 2005 Israel expects Iran to be capable of producing a nuclear weapon within three years, military intelligence chief General Aharon Zeevi told MPs at a closed-door briefing Tuesday, parliamentary sources said.
"Barring an unexpected delay, Iran is going to become nuclear capable in 2008 and not in 10 years as was recently reported in the American press, Zeevi told members of the foreign affairs and defence committee.
He was referring to a recent report in the Washington Post citing a US Central Intelligence Agency assessment that Iran would not be capable of producing a nuclear weapon for a decade.
Zeevi said he feared the report might be a deliberate leak intended to provide cover for inaction on Iran while the administration remained preoccupied by Iraq.
"If there is no response from the international community, the Iranians are going to overcome the technical difficulties in producing enriched uranium and will be able to produce the bomb," he warned.
Israel has been pressing its US ally to take a tough line with Iran, after it rejected a European package of incentives to abandon sensitive nuclear fuel cycle work, including both enrichment and its precursor uranium ore conversion.
"Iran made this decision because they are getting the impression that the United States and the Europeans are spineless," a senior official from Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's office told AFP earlier this month when Iran resumed uranium ore conversion, ending a nine-month suspension agreed with the EU.
In an interview with Israeli television broadcast on Friday, President George W. Bush pointedly refused to rule out the use of force against Iran after the setback to a negotiated solution.
"All options are on the table," he said.
Israel itself is believed to be the only nuclear power in the Middle East. Although it has never admitted to having nuclear weapons, it is believed to possess an arsenal of about 200 warheads.
In 1981, Israeli warplanes bombed Iraq's French-built Osirak nuclear reactor.
