"he's made no serious effort to do anything with it." -- I think you might want to rephrase that..."he has been unsuccessful in his attempts to do anything with it.".... seems to me his efforts HAVE been serious....at least compared to the vast majority of other CEOs I have come across. You should know that better than most.
