But that was the smart play for us as we would then have an enemy that would unite our people and consolidate our power. Our only problem would be if they got some hot dog in power who didn't understand realpolitic and was trying to weaken his country by declaring war on us but they would be to smart for that I hope. Plus and this is key - those fascist like to make deal with their brothers in the defense industry and we could force them into both butter and guns which in the long run will bankrupt them as they only have a view that is one year or two at the max.
