chunga1 -- all further to my comments re (ideological) precepts ( http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=26680277 ) -- the articles show the rapidly developing new understanding that literally, biologically in the brain, cell by cell, the ontological, and accordingly epistemological, fundamental when it comes to how to actually understand external reality really in fact is and has to be:
when precepts fit the observed facts, fine -- a sign of understanding
when precepts do not fit the observed facts, it is the precepts, and not the facts, that have to be let go if they cannot be adapted to fit -- a new try at understanding is needed
now that fundamental re understanding external reality isn't just an abstraction, however obvious and readily proven, crystallized at the core of critical philosophy
the articles show that a new understanding literally means existing brain cells must be changed and new brain cells grown -- and that this must be and only can be done deliberately and consciously by the person, by thinking about the thing, by doing the literal brainwork of trying to better figure the thing out
