That's a great idea. Providing jobs for those who want to work.
Have you considered a career in politics?

Re:Inactive Mods Removal

One note: This only affects STOCK boards - this does not affect club/personal/offtopic boards.

it's a concept.
Some boards go into the doldrums for months
and then pop up....if a Mod is an active member
and there's nothing to post about...
but has to post a blah blah post to remain active....
that isn't an improvement, imo.

Now if the Mod has a doldrum board in their favorites
and doesn't even read new posts....that would seem to be
a better criteria to base removal on.

If a board is that dead, it makes just as much sense to
remove the board and its posts which isn't likely to happen.
So what harm does it do to leave a doldrum board & Mod
intact?

IH Admin [Matt]: not all specific stock board mods consider it prudent to make fluff posts, especially on an entity that may not carry much volume. While, I can understand your concern, in this area: an inert board, without a mod, will have a tendency to become more inert. Then should something break for the stock, trash will fill the board.

Matt,

I agree that inactive mods should be removed, and 90 days is enough time to post.

Some stocks however are inactive and there are no posts at all during the silent period. The mod may be monitoring it actively and have it in his favorites, but just nothing going on presently.

Therefore, I think you should consider having the script send a PM reminder to mods a couple weeks before they are purged.
