Might be time to Taiwan Bargain hunt. I've had my eye on a few Taiwanese stocks for a while, TSM, AUO, TRID. In general I'm very reluctant to buy overseas stocks, transparency issues as well as being more difficult to follow. On the other hand several overseas economies are growing like mad while the US seems stuck in the mud while the Federal Reserve applies the whip vigorously to little effect.
I'll wait for a bottoming formation and take another look. The politics seem like the same old, same old. I don't see the PRC communist party lasting a long time, it seems to be hatching a lot of capitalists within it. Smarter than the Russians who hung onto their mickey mouse system until it collapsed.
The President Chen is one lucky guy. The bullet just grazed his abdomen, minor wound as these things go. The shooters must be real amateurs.
