I do not think the drop in Taiwan is because of the unresolved election. Instead, I think it is because the market discounted (Hence, the run up in Taiwan market in the last few months)the election of Mr. Lien, who the Red China likes to see win. And now, President Chen is in reality reelected, hence the sell off.

After all, Mr. Lien had to contest the result hard to put the blame of the loss on somebody else but himself. That is the only way for him to survive his own political life.

I personally think the Taiwan sell off will persist longer than just 2-3 days.

ZH not really in Asia. I seem to recall the kospi doing similar things if not worse over the last year but its recovered quite nicely.

They overshoot the world indices to the upside the past month, so they might have some catching up to do in Taiwan.
