The specs on this one are very close. All the right companies are involved, and it is going to the right field. Yes, I would say this is the one.

They expect it to be online in late 2008, and I expect they will need a crew to 'pull in' and latch umbilicals into those newly installed Latchers before then. Just speculation of course.

doog, I looked at the link given again and noticed this FPSO has a name the 'Espirito Santo'

This is what she will look like when finished.

The BSLatchers will be located in the ship like this graphic

Not at the bow of the ship like this one.

Veolia has a multi-million dollar contract for equipment on the Espirito Santo I noticed. http://www.vwswestgarth.com/en/press/20070430,7117.htm

Here is her sister ship, almost the same specs. You must
click the image at this link if you want to be impressed. Now THAT is a FPSO!

Here are pictures of the FPSO being converted in Singapore

"The FPSO unit will be leased by a SBM/MISC joint venture to the BC-10 Consortium operated by Shell for the development of the BC-10 field in Brazilian waters of the Campos Basin. This field is expected to be one of the key milestones in the commercialization of heavy oil in Brazil's deepwaters"
