Pre-eclampsia finding brings back a scary time with the birth of our second child. He arrived 10 weeks early at 2,5 lbs and spent those 10 weeks in NICU, at enormous cost, needless to say. He was - and we were - one of the lucky ones and he is now a healthy and successful 18 yr old.

Point is, there's indeed a lot more to outcomes of addressing pre-eclampsia than infant mortality. Reducing morbidities and time to release from various levels of care would all have potentially substantial value in terms of QOL and medical cost avoidance.

I assume that AT supplements do nothing for the mother, whose life is endangered by pre-eclampsia?
