Double the cache and a faster front side bus... they'll be faster than the old Celerons. At any rate, a 2.93GHz Celeron ought to be able to perform as well as a 1.5GHz Celeron M. The difference in clock frequency is nearly 2x. Rather, it's not as slow as you think.

Re: Based on your 2nd statment, you can't compare 3xx to 7xx either, so let's CORRECT the first statement to say, "One third of the numbers seem pretty close to me."
