I've read the report, good information if one wants a current back ground on the Barnett shale.
However, what has developed and is currently on going regarding requirements for urban drilling in the Fort Worth area, this report becomes out dated.
Just what has occurred in 2007 itself would require a new report to bring every one up to speed.
And just that fact, the 2007 business developments, opportunities and ability to be involved in this urban drilling process in the Barnett shale is WHY an O&G company wants a physical presents in the Fort Worth area.
You know the old saying:
"One needs to speak the language to know the language"
Same analogy is true if an O&G company wants to benefit in business involving any aspect of urban drilling. Need a physical presents.
Any one care to guess the requirements of the "legal" aspects of urban drilling for the Big O&G operations already up and running in this urban practice. Take a look at the new ordinances, as example "buffer zones" that have been established for these operations to continue. Multi-million dollar opportunity and on going project that I (the big O&G control) and there is a small littler O&G company in the way that controls a few thousand acres that is needed to continue.
Hmmmm, not a bad position for that small little O&G company to be in if that was the case..........some nice leverage in my book.
What do you think Badge?
I am surprised that Lowman has not provided a comment or two or for that matter didn't home in on this development and the DD behind it.
People if one really wants to get a handle on the Texas Barnett Shale region, the urban drilling development and requirements and the huge business opportunities that are currently in play in this region and are still in the development stage then you must do some current basic DD to get the platform of information needed to think in the same business manner as the current companies that have established themselves in this Texas area.
