You might want to read up on how the providence of God works. God uses seemingly natural events and people to accomplish his ends, in order to prevent the world from knowing that He is in charge of everything. To this point, He raised up the United States to protect and empower Israel, but it is unclear if the US will continue in that role. If not, God will raise up someone else to do so and the US will face further decline, or He will make the Israeli's self sufficient to the point where they need no protection. Either way, the result is the same -- Israel will not be eliminated from the world scene, despite that being the fondest desire of over a billion muslims.
In the end (literally) God will finally reveal Himself and supernaturally save Israel by defeating all her enemies, but that will be at the climax of history, just before the Second Coming of Jesus, who will come this time in Judgement, as a conquering lion, not as a lamb.
For those who doubt the supernatural providence of God toward His chosen people, the children of Israel, I would point out that there has been no people in the history of mankind that has undergone such an extensive history of attempted annihilation throughout the centuries -- many have tried to eradicate them from the face of the earth, but none have succeeded. How many Jews do you know?? Most of us know quite a few. Now, how many Jebusites do you know?? Amorites?? Caananites?? Perizites?? Hivites??
