Bob could probably shed more light on this, but I believe that to be the case.
Advertisers pay X amount of dollars for us to send their ads to a list of X amount of people. I don't believe it's contingent on whether or not anyone actually reads them.
Note that your email address is never disclosed to anyone outside of here. We do the mailings internally (actually, London does them but it's still the same company).
