Intel's 65mn processors beat AMD today.
Intel's 45nm processors only extend that lead, especially in the area of performance/watt.
Wolfdale will ramp this quarter. You will start seeing them for sale this month. Whenever the ramp actually does happen to become significant, it's irrelevant. The relevant part is that AMD's already uncompetitive parts are about to become a lot much less competitive.
They are already silently dropping prices: #msg-25806677
They will have to drop them again by the time Wolfdale ships. That's diminishing ASPs, even while they are already losing hundreds of millions per quarter.
