i've talked with RC about that in the past and yes, it can be done, but they would prefer to sell the proteus winch if they can. since each one is customized there's a substantial amount of revenue in making various modifications (in a retrofit) that adds value.
but if we are making the LARS and then selling the proteus along with it, or if mako is renting the LARS and a proteus is available for an additional fee, this could be a great way to go.
personally, i think we'll see quite a few customers interested in a triple combo: LARS, proteus, and ROV. some will buy it all, some will rent, whether all or partially -- and again, this is our one-stop-shop that gets them the equipment they need right away.
who would wait 2 years to buy from a competitor of ours, and take delivery of something nearly obsolete, when they could get one of DPDW's products in 10 days to a month and have the latest custom-built technology?
