nixon didn't have much backing after his exposure. just like in all presidential eras someone takes the blame and gets destroyed.
look at the groping clinton did to women. the women got destroyed not him imho.
don has some very good comments about big falls and the grouping togetherness ruins one career. imho
RE: yes mick! and I don't think he mishandled watergate at first, he was the first casualty of no longer being able to trust your inner circle....he had to be mystified in a lot of ways at what was happening to him, and tried to trudge thru it.
