Why Corning Could See Q1 Revenue Upside 04.19.04, 11:50 AM ET
Goldman Sachs said that shares of Corning (nyse: GLW - news - people ) under $11 are "very attractive" ahead of the first-quarter earnings report on April 22. Goldman said it expects the diversified technology company to report earnings "at least in line with" the firm's estimate of 5 cents per share. The research firm said an upside to expected revenue "is likely," but startup costs for LCD and diesel capacity could "mute" upside to earnings per share. Goldman reiterated an "outperform" rating on Corning.
