Been with ameritrade for a few years now and this has sort of become automatic with me. If I want funds immediately at 4:15 when ah starts I have to make sure my dayorders I dont want filled are manually cancelled. If not? Well, I have had them hang in the system up until 4:30 sometimes later. Crazy. I have had to call them often to get them to clear. System really has a lot of flaws and problems.

Magician, Just to be clear, are you sure their treated as GTC, or day orders for the next day (which will cancel by day's end if not filled).

While I have much to complain about with AMTD of late, they do post a message (pretty much every time you sign on) that states after hour orders placed will fill during the next scheduled trading day.

Have hesitated to try this on AMTD, so I was wondering exactly how it's treated.
