On efficacy, my glaucoma specialist says that they can tell that a patient has been using Lumigan if their eyelashes have really grown (as you probably know, compliance is a real problem with many chronic diseases but especially glaucoma). But he admitted that the lack of eyelash growth (as in my case) does not mean you are not taking the drops.
Interesting to me, they say in the press release that the cosmetic "may increase the risk of optic nerve damage because the extra dose of bimatoprost may decrease the prescription drug's effectiveness.'' I guess this follows from the fact that the optimal dose is once a day; twice is not merely a waste, but apparently WORSE than once a day. I had been told that but now it fits together....
