Dovarri and HP article

Local software provider Dovarri Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Co. have formed a partnership that is expected to "significantly impact" Dovarri's bottom line, officials say.

The agreement calls for Dovarri's sales force automation software product to run on HP's iPac Pocket PC and HP Compaq Tablet PCs. By combining the solutions, Dovarri says salespeople will be able to prospect, qualify and close deals "right in front of the customer on a mobile device."

Dovarri software was recognized as "best of breed" in the HP Mobile solutions program.

"We are thrilled with the combination," notes Geary G. Broadnax, Dovarri's president and CEO. "Partnering with companies with the stature of HP is tremendous to us."

The relationship "has already opened doors" for Dovarri, Broadnax says. The company recently attended CeBit America, an information and communications technology conference in New York, and was a featured exhibitor in HP's booth. Dovarri will also join HP in a 13-city nationwide road show, including major markets such as San Francisco, Chicago, Los Angeles and Miami.

"In addition to getting more exposure for our product, this is an opportunity for us to move HP products as well," Broadnax adds. "This is a great two-way relationship."

Broadnax purchased 11-year-old Dovarri in 2000. Prior to that he was the co-founder, president and CEO of Insync Internet Services, which he sold to Reliant Resources in 2000.

The combined solutions will help customers of all sizes "to achieve a rapid return on investment and an increased competitive advantage through improved customer responsiveness," says Richard Stone, HP's manager of wireless and mobility solutions for the Americas.
