are you certain of that? I thought that if one signed up for CHAIRMAIL from a board (like I am on the JAIL board, as those weekly newsletters are most interesting) you will still get the emails but will simply not receive email notifications of posts made to you both publicly or privately...I guess we need a ruling on this
