My only response would be that GTCB is following a well worn path for start-up pharmas and biotech companies. There's no science or skullduggery implied by this remark: It's simply an observed fact. Only really good, really big news is sufficient to stop the unending downward sawtooth curve that the share price of most of these companies seems to follow. You said you are getting nervous. I can't remember a time in the last ten years when I wasn't nervous about almost every biotech stock I held (and often with good reason). The only reason for increasing nervousness that I see is the fact that the F. D. A. has once again entered one of its drug prevention phases--and we've been there before, too. A lack of nervousness in biotech is the best way to get handed your head on a platter, no matter how soothing the alternative may seem. The only antidote I've found is to favor companies where the next binary event is in the near future. That way, the nervousness can be quickly replaced by elation or sheer terror!

It could be some of the hedge funds that
previously bought into GTCB are falling apart.
Some of the smaller hedge funds are made up of
a few large accounts and must sell out when they
lose some of them. I play golf with one manager
who could be in trouble.

Another reason could be additional financing that
might require recapitalization of the company.

A big holder clearing out of the market.

It could be any number of reasons other than inside
information.

Here is a "more reasonable explanation" for your tiresome paranoia:

Pharming had a precipitous drop in its share price at the same time as GTC. Why? The EMEA announced a negative opinion on Pharming's MAA for Rhucin. Pharming announced it will appeal.

http://www.pharming.com/

Do you suppose there was a knee-jerk reaction on the part of some GTC shareholder(s)? Do you suppose the fact the negative opinion was known, or at least suspected, before it was announced this morning accounted for some of the volatility in the GTC share price the past few days?

Give us a break!
