is that the brokerages even if the shares were underwater or phantom shares they will have to account for all as there business rely on real certs. If proven to be that the shares are not real noone would invest and the brokerages would be liable for corruption.
They always find a way to manipulate things and get the real certs into your account electronically if there is a recall on actual paper certs then they would be in trouble.
Only way to know 100 percent is to have all paper certs in hand and not electronic shares and markers
Counts are the only way to account for a estimate of what most hold in my opinion which helps to prove the point of how electronic shares are useless and helps to point out how we are all being screwed by the MMs to there benefit.
