All,

First, wouldn't a deposit from anyone other than an account holder or spouse be subject to a gift tax?

Secondly, other thing to consider are RICO laws. As John Gotti, the "Teflon Don", put it: "The RICO Law was designed by Rats in order to catch the RATS".

In the state of Texas, if a police officer merely finds a large amount of money on you (say, $1000) that you cannot adequately explain ("I'm holding it for a friend" would probably not be considered adequate), then your money, car, and anything else of value in the vehicle can be confiscated as apparent drug money/capital and you can be arrested as a drug dealer. Even if you are found not guilty, you must then go to court again to get back your property.

I haven't read the entire RICO law, but from the parts I have seen, it seems convoluted enough to be used for most anything the authorities want to accomplish to put bad guys away...or even to put good guys away.

Here us a really choice tidbit that may apply here:

"A RICO claim can be predicated on mail and wire fraud alone but should not be so predicated."

(i.e., "I really hate to do this buddy, but...").

Concerning your whole proposal, in the words of King Arthur, "Run away! Run away!"
