Schwab's commissions are per-stock so it's an expensive selection for the necessarily high quantites involved in trading low priced shares like COR - - unless you can avoid the high charges by holding a $1 million account, where they are waived.

Read the fine print.

I have been happy with TDAmeritrade. I don't know all of their fee structure, but my trade fees have been reasonable. I think they also have a promotion for opening a new account where they give you a few bucks.

I, too, have been using Scottrade for almost three years now. I have been very satisfied. Their fees, regardless of whether it is a limit or a market order, are $7.00. When I have had to call the office, they have been very responsive. I recommended them very highly. I have to admit that the other day they wouldn't take a limit order for stocks listed under $1.00, so you might run into problems there. There was no problem placing a market order for stocks listed under $1.00. The fee is the same regardless of the quantity of any particular stock. I do know for a fact that TDAmeritrade charges $9.99 per trade as I am treasurer of an investment club that I belong to and that is the broker they use. Hope this helps.

Regards, Judy

Definitely check this out:
http://www.izone.com/index1.html

TD Ameritrade Izone

$5 limit and market orders
No share limit
No restrictions against under $1 stocks, OTCBB, or pink sheets

All the perks of TD Ameritrade (which I have used for 2 years and have been very very happy with), only you lose access to live customer representatives in return for the extremely low trade costs. If you need hand holding and live customer service, then just stick with regular TD Ameritrade.

davidall66 - I have been with Schwab for over fifteen years and find them efficient, honest, cooperative, and apprecitive of your business.

I would highly recommend them. (Ask for their "Velocity" trading program if your are confined to dial-up internet service. They will try to steer you to their on-line program which is fine for high speed, but I find the Velocity program better for dial-up applications if this applies to you.)

Cordially,
