COR will likely garner a lot of votes in the 2008 edition of the poll as well, and could quite easily be a 100% or 200% gainer in 2008.

The other thing the results highlight is the susceptibility of biotech stocks to highly binary events.

From my perspective, Cortex recovered very nicely during 2007. The stock price spent three or four months in the $2.50 to $3.00 range after starting the year at around $1.20. I certainly made money on it - would have made a lot more if I had got out earlier. I'm making progress on the 'buy low' part of investing, but can't seem to master the 'sell high' part.
