Absolutely! They have quoted die size and other characteristics of silverthorn that make it clear this is a design customized to go into "arm" space. The physics certainly favor long term better control for the new process... however given that it is new we don't really know what they have right now... other than some really fast low power parts:-) --Alan
Silverthorne is a simple in-order design whereas Penryn is as out-of-order as they come, they are both 45nm x86 but there the similarity ends. Come on Klaus, all this was well known beforehand and already debated on this thread.
