MSFT puts in a new LOD on the close. INTC comes back to sit at $29.60. COMP retakes 2020, DOW 10,600, green all the way around. Huge volume sits at 1143.00 on the futures. CSCO managed to close near the highs. IBM dropped at the close. Jam on in the NQ's. ES working on taking out the volume at 1143.00. About a 1000 to go, or $2 million worth.

Whoa, a little more volume came in at 1143.00 and then in a blink all of it plus some at 1142.75 disappeared. Looked like close to $3 million worth. 2 of those were mine as I covered. Got to try and get some of my money they took from me back. Could have gotten another 1/2 a point, maybe. They're working on 1142.50 now. Some volume comes in as we come up to the 4:15 close, and they retake 1143.00. MSFT new LOD.

I love to short, but days like this you need to be careful...

1. Low trin all day...

2. Positive tick ratio (high 1093 vs low -802)

3. Low Volume

I started the day long the small caps "ER2" (should have held to the close) but closed them for a nice profit around 11am and then I started to short those Dow peaks near the end of the day when they couldn't hold them for more than a tick. I did OK, but the crooks wouldn't let the "YM's" move $for$ with the Dow so I had to settle for smaller moves than were actually being traded on the index...

Notice the last few days where we were weak, those trins and ticks were horrible (unlike today)
