Why is it darkest before dawn? Perhaps everyone shutting off their lights could be an answer but I think the expression goes back further than that. Or doesn't it?

It is also darkest before dawn.

I thought it was darkest just before it went completely black <GGGG>

ZH - It's very dark throughout the night, and in tunnels and in mines underground and all sorts of otehr places. Dark is dark and the market is probably aniticpating that INTC might have some increase in chip sales but next year is toast and maybe a new adminstration and who knows what they will and so get out now is the smart move.

I said this during Jan and apart from a few really spectacular numbers most stocks are wiliting and getting the daily haircut and even SNDK which has just had the greatest qtr in its history got rewarded by getting a 50% haricut.

My guess is that the market won't be thrilled to bits about the prospect of a President Kelley. Its just another layer of uncertainty and sure as anything President Kelley will reverse some of what President Bush has done. Thats not going to go down well for the market.

Too much downside risk for the pro managers in my view. They will sit on their hands and wait to see just how long the recovery for what its worth can continue. Too many pundits saying that election years are good for the market.

Maybe we will se the Grand Nasscare just when you don't expect it.

No, no...

It's darkest when my stop hits.

Then it reverses shortly afterwards...
