I wouldn't own it during a bear market. I'm telling you that all these stocks will get hammered. The fund's just try to preserve capital in a bear market and that's why they sell everything.
There are a lot of ways now of protecting your investments via puts and short calls and inverse ETFs that didnt' exist 7 years ago. But you can only do so much with that stuff if the overall trend is down for all your holdings.
