BPNT? I'm wondering if Monday will be a sell-off since it is the first day after the ex-div date. Might be a good buying opportunity if a lot of people dump their shares. But that's bottom fishing, why would you like that? lmao :>)

I'm trading less and less myself for the moment until the market figures out what it wants to do.


Looking for stocks to bottom before making a breakout from its low (does that count here? bounce plays that break out even though they aren't making new highs???) or stocks to break out into news.


A lot of good picks that should have broken out are dying suddenly and stocks with good earnings that surprise and start with a breakout are dying on arrival. Look at AMAT. Analyst estimates at .08, they come in at .12, stock gaps and craps and nosedives from there actually turning red from earnings in less than 2 days. Unreal.


Must be this damn CA rain. Nothing seems normal, lol

Good advice Omni. I tend to lose the most when I follow a stock already running and being talked about a lot. I end up chasing it, buying too high and missing the sell point because I want a better profit than 5-6%.

I make the most when I find picks on my own and see them break the trend I set. (of course following all the advice from here) If I see a stock named on here that I am following, I know I am on the right track.

As a fellow new guy losing his shirt at times, don't follow the crowd. Get in before the crowd.

You're absolutely right about the sheep thing. I have a list of stocks that I've been watching but every one of those were stocks that I hadn't been watching but jumped in when it broke out and every one else jumped in.

Unfortunately none of the other stocks I've been watching has done anything this month either. I just need to be more patient and make some entry and exit points on the stocks I'm watching and wait for them.

I just want to thank all the people who have responded with helpful advice and support. This is by far the most successful and the best overall board I've ever visited. I hope to grow with you guys and some day be the one of the other end of the advice. Thanks again.

What is your take on APOA? Had a nice run and past 52 week high of 21 cents only to close at 17 cents.
