Lango--(nod) agreed...the great irony is, Nader has every right to run for president, just as every other third-party/indy candidate does. Hell, I'll be 38 in 2008...I could give it a shot if I really wanted to, and that's the whole point of Democracy.
Unfortunately, the reality is that aside from a few local & state races, third-party/indy candidates generally only end up with the type of power seen here--lopping off a few points from one side (Perot/Buchanan) or the other (Nader).
Here's an interesting additional note on the subject: I've been reading rumors that Roy Moore, the former Alabama Supreme Court justice (the guy who got the boot after the "Ten Commandments" brouhaha) is considering running for Pres as well! Whaddya think, could this guy be the counterweight to Nader on the right-wing side?
