My guess is a simple engineered change in the initial construct, akin to the change made in EPO to create NESP.

I think it would be good to establish breeding lines of transgenic goats expressing different glycosylases in the golgi of the mammary glands. Candidate proteins can be bred or transgened into different goat lines, monitor the protein as produced in the different goat lines for glycosylation/half-life/kinetics/dynamics and procede to breed.
