By the way, I see that MG added a nice addendum to the Oct 29th, PR.. here it is:
"NOTE: Just before midnight, in the last moments of October 2007, due to the overwhelming number of requests we have received for logins, as well as the need to continue testing the new site in its actual location, the site went live at http://www.reeltime.com. We are still in the final testing process, and the official launch of the site will be announced to the public when all testing is complete. We project that the re-launch will be announced in the first week of November, 2007. For more information, go to http://www.reeltime.com"
Tokamak0 See my post 23213. I talked a little about it. I think that it would be a good idea to have a "home" link on the new site. The main reason is you can't get to the new movies/tv section from off the homepage. Its a small but necessary tweak since many people will want to see what's new on the site.
I would say it is obvious for about 25% of web surfers. For me it was somewhat intuitive because a lot of sites have the logo as an active link to the homepage and I do a lot of websurfing. But if it isn't intuitive for 90% of the population, we need to have a "Home" link somewhere on the page.
The logo being the home link is pretty common nowadays. Almost every major site uses this technique. Some also have text links, but definitely not all.
It's a stylistic thing I suppose. Well keep an eye on it and determine if it is confusing people.
