Keep in mind that 1500 is a drop in the ocean to the number of houses on the market. In those specific areas, it might be a short term boost, but nationally, there are 4,400,000 homes on the market right now according to the NAR - which is biased and has every reason to understate the numbers. Nevertheless, assuming they can be trusted, 1,500 is 3 tenths of 1% of the inventory.
Of course I wouldn't want to presume that objective fact would stand in the way of some homebuilder hype - which is likely to come.
