The leaves are changing colors, there is a slight chill in the air which wasn't noticeable a few weeks ago…fall is now upon us. Players who have been spending their summers trying to impress overseas scouts with their play in NBA summer leagues and the USBL are now looking to cash in with either NBA camp tryouts or overseas contracts.

The leading scorer in Belgium last season at 17.6 points per game, Campbell's former team BBC Royal Atomia Brussels pulled out of this upcoming season due to lack of sponsorship funds.
Brussels' loss will be Hapoel Gali Elyon's gain, as the sweet-shooting guard/forward will light up the nets in Israel.
After leaving Long Island University in 1998, Campbell has crossed the globe playing in France, Austria, Venezuela, Croatia, Portugal, Italy, Poland, Puerto Rico, Belgium and now Israel.
Domestically, Campbell had been a mainstay of the Brooklyn Kings of the USBL in addition to being a key contributor to the Sound.
Campbell's unique ability to score at ease from anywhere o the court, in addition to his superb rebounding and court-vision has allowed him to be in such high demand the world over.
Campbell holds the top-four Strong Island single-game scoring marks, as well as the leading scorer and rebounder (average) in the team's two year existence.

A VISIT WITH THE UBL

by John Gary - Jul 19, 2007
WHY START A NEW LEAGUE? I dont want to appear critical, but i have viewed a few and felt that i would do things differently than them. I THINK THAT YOU HAVE to be willing to examine what has and be sure not to make similar mistakes. In some cases the same errors have been made and it has resulted in teams dropping out before the start of a season or worse yet in the middle of the season.

I THINK THAT YOU HAVE to be willing to examine what has and be sure not to make similar mistakes. In some cases the same errors have been made and it has resulted in teams dropping out before the start of a season or worse yet in the middle of the season. I STARTED THE UBL, SO THAT THE LEAGUE COULD START FROM THE GROUND FLOOR AND CONTINUE TO MAKE IMPROVEMENTS. i always said after 9/11,things changed. YOUNG MEN ONCE WILLING TO PLAY OVERSEAS ARE NOT WILLING NOW. here is a chance to keep them on home soil. ALSO, OUR TYPICAL OWNER IS SOMEONE WHO IS RUNNIN THE BUSINESS. there are some of us not named CUBAN OR dolan that recall basketball and this league allows the average small businessman to run his own team. THE THIRD PART OF THIS QUESTION IS DIRECTED TOWARD THE FANS GOING TO madison SQUARE garden as a boy. MY DAD SOMETIMES TOOK A FAMILY OF FOUR. the average man with a wife and two children cant afford sodas, hot dogs, t-shirts and programs, we plan to make it more affordable for them.
WHY THE facination with ownership ? As i stated earily the average person can call his own, We have a plan in place to insure that teams will do well. We all want to make money but the UBL will do fine. We will survive because we will be visiable in our community. In fact it has started for one team the Soul and the Arkansas Warriors are doing the same. The Soul have an event coming up combining basketball with good health . LOADS OF FOUNDATIONS ARE ALREADY COMMITTED AND SEVERAL LOCAL BUSINESSES ARE CONTRIBUTING WHEN THEY CAN.
