Visium Asset Mgmt Reports 7.29% Sonus Pharm Stake >SNUSLast update: 10/23/2007 12:23:40 PMDOW JONES NEWSWIRES Visium Asset Management LLC reported a 7.29% passive stake in drug developer Sonus Pharmaceuticals Inc. (SNUS) on Tuesday. Visium beneficially held 2.69 million Sonus Pharmaceuticals shares as of Oct. 15, according to its filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Sonus Pharmaceuticals' shares plummeted on Sept. 24 to 70 cents a share from the previous close of $4.35 a share after the company reported that its lead cancer-treatment candidate failed a Phase 3 clinical trial in women with metastatic breast cancer. Shares of Sonus Pharmaceuticals traded midday Tuesday at 54 cents each, up 1 cent. Visium reported its stake on a Scheduled 13G, an SEC document used by passive investors, or those not seeking to change or influence a company's operations.
